Mundo Reves, Asa Nisi Masa Bonarda 2021

Mundo Reves (meaning "dream world") was created by two French winemakers, Thibault and Quentin, who moved to Argentina a decade ago. They found in the Argentinian terroir a huge potential and felt there was a great opportunity to accomplish their dream of making amazing wines from indigenous Argentinian varieties in their own unique, funky way. Asa Nisi Masa 2021 is made from 100% Bonarda, the "other" Argentinian red grape which is often over-looked for the ubiquitous Malbec. The Bonarda grapes were harvested and aged in concrete for 6 months prior to bottling. It has a deep, intense purple colouring and is a gorgeous, fruit driven wine with aromas of redcurrant, raspberry and liquorice. Quite floral, with a touch of pepper and eucalyptus. An intriguing palate, fresh, juicy and fruity; with soft tannins. A great red to pair with poultry or lighter game dishes.
